Two years after the presentation of the world's first electronic mountain bike shifting system, Shimano is now bringing this revolutionary technology to Deore XT level. Shifting gears with extreme precision and speed in the upmarket mid-range segment is now literally possible at the push of a button and, if desired, with just one switch. When it suddenly gets steep on the trail, the Deore XT drive reacts even faster and more intuitively to any rider command, even if the hands are already aching from the firm grip on the handlebars, thanks to Di2 technology. A light press of a button is all it takes to change to a more efficient gear. In combination with Synchro-Shift technology (which automatically shifts the front derailleur depending on the desired transmission ratio and also optimises chain skew) the optimum gear combination is always available, even when steep climbs, technically demanding descents and adrenaline-laden race passages alternate in quick succession. Both the front and rear derailleur of the Deore XT Di2 are characterised by accurate and stable shifting, as mountain bikers already know from the XTR Di2. The front derailleur's auto-trim function ensures smooth operation, while the rear derailleur guarantees reliable shifting even under heavy load in steep climbs or when the cassette is heavily soiled. The servomotors in the rear derailleur and derailleur are twice as powerful as their counterparts in the Di2 racing bike component series to guarantee high-precision shifting even under the most demanding conditions.
